FAmSCo Nominations 2011

Even if very late i want to have some words - i am happy to see the current nominations for the next FAmSCo - but not happy about the numbers. I hope NA will come up with a candidate as well - otherwise it would be a serious statement! I would have suggested

anyway.

Christoph Wickert would get my vote as well - but i do not want to put more burden on his back - Christoph how does it look? I also want to to put some names in the Ring who should really self-nominate because they do great work and should run for  FAmSCo election - consider you nominated by me ;)

Onyeibo Oku
Kévin Raymond
Mathieu Bridon
Elad Alfassa
Isaac Sanni-Thomas
Jiri Eischmann
Pierre-YvesChibon
Sven Lankes

If we want to ensure that we further have healthy grow and evolve, FAmSCo has to take a more active Role in the future - if you want to take the responsibility for the future of the Ambassadors Group please self-nominate.

I want to say a big thank you to Igor Soares because he was my liason to the Ambassadors Membership Administration and Mentoring, did a great job with the monthly FAmSCo Reports and was always approachable - so i would be more than happy to see him elected again and becoming the new FAmSCo Chair - elected by the new FAmSCo.

Jörg, seems you didn't read my announcement or the 'Elections' page in the wiki. Please do not nominate people in public without talking to them in private before. You are putting them under pressure.

i see it from the different perspective - i give them a big round of applause for their work as Fedora Ambassadors in the past - given the situation i consider this a necessary wake-up call

Hi Joerg,
Thank you for your concern about FAmSCo nomination. FAmSCo is really important and Ambassadors need to have active contributors who know Fedora and the open source way in order to work efficiently.

I consider me as a young contributor, involved in a wide range of contributions and giving lots of time to the Fedora Project. I don't want yet to take another role that I know will takes time from other Fedora contributions. Even if improving things drives my life, I still don't know really well how to define the "best" ambassador code of conduct.(That's not a failure in my great mentorship!).

With the best comprehension comes best ideas. Who knows, some name highlighted up there could self nominate next time :).

@shaiton i respect that - but this answer shows me you would be a great candidate!
