Chemnitzer Linuxtage Day2 + Interview + Pictures

CLT09 is over and i am happy that i could share this great event with my friends!
A Thanks goes to the CLT Team for their Work and Support!
LXDE on Fedora was the Superstar this year - and what could be better than have the maintainer and a another LXDE upstream developer of this project at the Fedora Booth! We created Live-USB's all the time, all Fedora Live CD's are out since the first day, the expectations in the features of Fedora 11 by the visitors is high and i can clearly say that this year, we are finally become accepted as a real Community-Project - what is a great progress here in this part of europe!

It was also the Day of Max's talk and it was more fluently without changing the Hat ;) CLT took a video and i will post the link, as soon as i see it on the CLT Infrastructure.

Right from the Talk, Max and Robert had to move to the Radio Tux Interview.
Listen the Interview with Max and Robert HERE!

Chemnitzer Linuxtage 2009 Day 1

CLT is the real leading german community event and get's better year by year - thanks CLT Team for providing this perfect organisation and this wonderfull event.
We've made a experiment and decided (hope Greg will not kill me) to have no OLPC's at the booth - because the expirience showed us, that people got distracted by the OLPC Hardware and do not listen to what we have to tell them about the idea behind OLPC and that Fedora runs the OLPC. And what can i say - we had a great day - good conversations, smart questions, a lot people at the booth and fun - and i am sure we have a few new valuable Contributors - at least one new for the german localization team ;)

Our booth was constantly visited, but after Klaus Knopper's LXDE Talk, where Christoph raised the Fedora Flag for "the most complete implementation of LXDE", Chritstoph had to bear with quite a bunch of people at the same time ;)

Some people do visit us regularly every year and tell us their adventures with Fedora - like the the very smart "Matlab-Girl" ;) Chitlesh you remember? I try to convice her to contribute to Fedora since 3 years - no success - but maybe tomorrow ;)
I will not attend the social event - i have to fulfill some family duties and i want to be fit and fresh for tomorrow Day2!
My thanks goes to all of our great Team - Christoph, Jens, Martha, Max, Robert, Simon, Stefanie, Sven!

CLT Time Day0

it is late but i want to give a short update about the Chemnitzer Linuxtage 2009.
We arrived save after a 3:30 hour trip - the way was easy to find because the city was enlighted with Tux ;)

Max and Martha had a 13 hour trip from Amsterdam - and joined us later this day - we had a good time in the evening and a delicate dinner in a Restaurant with regional cuisine, where Christoph joined us after a while.

Before that we had to stick some poster on our booth - and tomorrow it will be the first time we will have a Projector on the booth to present Fedora - we will see if it will work out fine.

Chemnitzer Linuxtage Day -1

Chemnitzer Linuxtage 2009 we are ready to start. The Car is loaded with SWAG, Banners and Posters! And this year we have not only the usual suspects Robert, Jens and me at CLT. We will have new Ambassadors on duty, but also veterans like Max and Christoph will have their first CLT experience!

Tomorrow is travel day - build up the booth - and the Opener Party can start ;)

Like every year, we will have a nice special BoothPoster designed by feeding the automated CLT PosterGenerator with Pictures and printed by CLT - Thanks for your great work!
