FOSDEM Day2

i am back at home now - here is my summary for Day2 at FOSDEM which started with my Booth attendance, where i had a good time in explaining People our Project and how they can contribute to it. If i made a good Job, we will have new Contributors from Japan, Poland, Bulgaria and Belgium.

I do not know how many Fedora Live CD's we had, but during my slot around midday the last one left the table.



After my time at the Booth i attended the syslinux talk from H. Peter Anvin from Intel and i was glad to see that he was using Fedora 10 with KDE4



The Highlight of this Day was undoubtedly the ext4 Talk from Theodore Ts'o the new CTO, Linux Foundation.




I really need a new Camera for the dark catacombs of FOSDEM and our nightly tours in Brussels, as you can see my FOSDEM09 Gallery is not in a good quality ;)

It was a good time at FOSDEM09. Dear Fellows, thanks for all, it was great to meet you and work with you!

FOSDEM Impressions Day1

Fedora Booth is build up - there are much more visitors here then last year - if you like it crowded and hot - FOSDEM is the right choice ;)



Right now one potential Contributor hired - we will see what the Rest of the Event will bring.



The Room at Christoph Wickerts Talk RPM Packaging had at least 35°C and was bursting with people - so can i look forward to many new packagers? - Max had a new Talk about the four F's of Fedora which was cool&fun because he changed the Shadowman Hat to give both the Fedora and the Enterprise point of view. Chitlesh gave a enthusiastic example how to give a talk with his FEL Talk. But he overdraw his timeslot so we went late to Max's talk ;)



Now i will look for something to eat and then meet the others in Churchill for a "Beer".

FOSDEM Day0

Arrived safely in Brussels after a 6 hour ride by car together with Robert Scheck - heavy loaded with Fedora Booth Stuff - will see what we need tomorrow for build up.

Fedora 11 is already here in Brussels ;)



After checked in at the hotel, we met Chitlesh and Aajhaan at central station -
- visited Grand Place and manneken piss
- had dinner in a belgium restaurant
- went to the beer event - met many new and old faces



- left the beer event with Fedora People for a more private beer session in a pub with a lot talking
