Busy Day's

Last week i had the opportunity to participate at "Open Source Meets Business", a international 3 Day conference in Nuremberg, related to that topic. I want to say thank you to Thorsten who gave the chance to attend at this very expensive conference. What have i learned? I decided to attend the technology track - but it was not what i expected. The most KeyNotes - nearly half of all talks - had the intention to justify why Business should follow the FOSS idea - but to be honest it was boring and the most of the time they failed to make a Business/FOSS connection and failed also to show new innovative ways - they just follow.

RedHat and Ingres were the main Sponsors of this Event - but they had only one talk :(
I had some nice minutes with the RedHat Sales People i met on this Event - most of them were quite new in the Company and they had strange views about Fedora.

Dear RedHat Sales People, "No, Fedora is not a RedHat FanClub!"

The Top of all were this violation of our Fedora Logo Usage Guidelines - by Ingres.

To save my time, i decided to leave this conference after two day's - one day earlier - with the goal, Fedora should have a talk at the next OSMB and many other so called FOSS Business Events - see my email to the Ambassador List.

Also Preparation for FOSDEM 09 keeps me busy, but most of the important things are done.
New Posters are printed

and 34 PoloShirts are arrived here at my place and not in Poland like last year :P

In Preparation for Chemnitzer Linuxtage the Poster is also finished and commited

- so weekend can come? Ah - no, on Sunday, Fedora Ambassador regional Mentors will have their first meeting. busy busy day's
